Demeterra

Why Demeterra?

The range takes its name from Demeter, the Greek goddess of fertility, agriculture, and harvests.

By composting your biodegradable waste, you are taking a step toward achieving food autonomy. Restaurants that compost 100% of their biowaste produce enough compost to grow 100% of the vegetables they need! Do not settle for being environmentally neutral. Instead, opt for an even greener future!

How does electro-mechanical composting work?

global.biowaste

These are the types of biowaste that can be converted into compost:

  • Food waste
  • Meat and fish
  • Wood mulch
  • Green waste
Composter inside view
With our composters, it only takes 15 days to convert biowaste into compost—here’s how
  • 1
Get your composting started by using the shredder to mix materials, or mix by hand, making sure your biowaste is composed of between 15 and 25% wood mulch
  • 2
Leave your compost materials to aerate and mix
  • 3
Bacteria will cause the material to breakdown and the temperature inside the composter to rise to ±60°C
  • 4
No need to worry! Our composters remain free from pests and odors during the entire process!
  • 5
After 15 days, your fresh compost, certified NF 44 051 (= set the country's standard), is ready for use
  • 6
Your compost will continue to mature outside for six (6) weeks before it is ready to enrich the soil you mix it into
